DMJX students won three first prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1701\" height=\"956\" src=\"https:\/\/photo.dmjx.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/AAP18_15LIT1_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2876\"\/><figcaption>Cover image of the video documentary Distant Love made by Julie Meldhede Kristensen og Andreas Merrald.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Julie Kristensen and Andreas Merrald won first prize in the category Long TV\/Web story for their story \u201eDistant Love\u201c, which they made during our third term in the fall 2018. It&#8217;s the fifth year in a row that our students take a first prize in this category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1487\" height=\"992\" src=\"https:\/\/photo.dmjx.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/AAP18_10RED1_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2874\"\/><figcaption><em>Poul and Else Mathiassen met each other in 1960. In 2011 Poul was diagnosed with dementia and Parkinson&#8217;s Disease. Else slept on a madras on the floor by his bed during the last time of his life.  Poul died the 9th April 2018. <br>Photo: Sofie Mathiassen. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Sofie Mathiassen\nwon first prize in the category Danish Reportage for at picture of her\ngrandparents photographed in the moment where her grandmother says a last\ngoodbye the her late grandfather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"992\" height=\"1487\" src=\"https:\/\/photo.dmjx.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/AAP18_05POR1_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2875\"\/><figcaption><em>Portrait of CEO of Danske Bank, Thomas Borgen. Photo: Marie Bentzon. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Marie Bentzon won\nfirst prize in the Portrait singles category for a portait of the CEO of Danske\nBank, Thomas Borgen. The portrait is made during Maria\u2019s internship at the\nfinancial paper B\u00f8rsen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two other DMJX\nstudents received second prizes at the award ceremony:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mikkel H\u00f8rlyck\nwas runner-up in the category Long Term project with his project J\u00f8rgen\nPedersen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tanja Carstens\nLund was runner-up in the category for Danish Everyday Picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s\nDanish POY has a new set up, where the jury also selects various pictures to be\na part of the exhibition without receiving any prizes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following\nDMJX-students have their work presented at the Danish POY exhibition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mads Claus\nRasmussen, Mads Joakim Rimer Rasmussen, Louise Herrche Serup, Morten\nLau-Nielsen, Nanna Navntoft, Peter Nygaard Christensen, Jens Hartmann Schmidt,\nTobias Kobborg Kristensen, Malene Anthony, Tobias Nicolai, Oscar Scott Carl,\nMads Frost, Marie Bentzon, Andreas Merrald, Ivan Boll og Ida Marie Odgaard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The winners at the Danish POY were announced today at the award ceremony at the Royal Library in Copenhagen.
