Today\u2019s award ceremony at the Danish POY turned out to be historical when DMJX photojournalist students won first prizes in 7 out the 16 categories – among these the main prize; “Picture of the Year” went to Sarah Hartvigsen Juncker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oscar Scott Carl<\/a> won \u201cDanish Reportage of the Year\u201d<\/a>. Oscar made the story independently in his summer break just before he started his internship at Berlingske.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Valdemar Stroe Ren<\/a> won \u201cDanish Everyday Picture of the Year\u201d<\/a>. Valdemar\u2019s picture is a part of his second term magazine story made at DMJX in the spring 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karen Jensen (64) has had a tough childhood, where she has lived alone together with her handicapped father. She suffers from overeating. “When life is tough, my friend overeating comes and tells me, that he will help me”. From a long term project about people, who suffer from BED and overeating.

Nanna Navntoft<\/a> won \u201cLong Term Project of the Year\u201d<\/a>. Nanna started her project during her internship at Politiken. She has continued working on the story during her 7th<\/sup> term exchange study at KABK in Hague and during her 8th<\/sup> term at DMJX. Nanna graduated January 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andreas Beukel Vinther<\/a> and Tobias Stidsen<\/a> won \u201cShort TV\/Web story of the Year\u201d<\/a>. Andreas and Tobias made the video documentary during their 3rd<\/sup> term at DMJX in the fall 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The photojournalist student runners-up are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mads Joakim Rimer Rasmussen received second prize in \u201cDanish Reportage of the Year\u201d. Mads made the project as his final BA-project in the fall 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesper Houborg received second prize in \u201cForeign Reportage of the Year\u201d. Jesper Houborg made the story together with Valdemar Stroe Ren during their 3rd<\/sup> term in the fall 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morten Lau-Nielsen received second prize in \u201cTV\/Web Open Category\u201d. Morten has made the project during his internship at Jyllands-Posten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

On top of this, our regular guest teacher, Bo Amstrup, won first prize in the category \u201cCultural Picture of the Year\u201d and DMJX student, Benny Kj\u00f8lhede won first prize in \u201cTV\/Web Open Category\u201d. Benny Kj\u00f8lhede is studying at our TV production programme at the campus in Copenhagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2,678\nstill pictures and 35 tv\/web productions made by 166 photographers attended\nthis year\u2019s competition. 28 photographers were nominated before the award\nceremony \u2013 and out of these were 11 DMJX students.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
