Salih was a scholarship student at DMJX in 2020 and 2021 &#8211; supported by VII Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winning project is a narrative journey back to the time after Salih lost his parents and settled in a new home to live with his grandmother. With his project Salih is trying to know more about his parents and himself, and it&#8217;s a healing process from the trauma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1085\" src=\"https:\/\/photo.dmjx.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Salih-Basheer_02.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4770\"\/><figcaption><em>Spread from Salih Basheer&#8217;s personal book project &#8220;22 days in Between&#8221;<\/em> <em>as it was made during his study at DMJX<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 450 photographers from all over the world applied for the grant and the jury selected two winners to received $ 6,000 each.
