Eugene Smith Memorial Fund<\/a> has announced this year&#8217;s grant recipients and DMJX student <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.salihbasheer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Salih Baheer<\/a> has received the $5,000 <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smithfund.org\/2021-salih-basheer?fbclid=IwAR3qoGa-agyJhbiYUV1YU6DWEz3eqHMzPpPqJbNdSdffBF6bmRrD34yO98Y\" target=\"_blank\">Eugene Smith Student grant<\/a> for his project \u201c22 Days in Between\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1512\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/photo.dmjx.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Salih-Eugene-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4897\"\/><figcaption><em>Cover of Salih Basheer&#8217;s personal project \u201c22 Days in Between&#8221;, in which he mixes drawings, family pictures, writings, his own pictures and self portraits.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c22 Days in Between\u201d is a narrative journey looking back at the loss of Salih Basheer&#8217;s parents and the challenges of settling into a new home with his grandmother. Recently, he also received the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.everydayprojects.org\/grant?fbclid=IwAR0ESwf3eKGidXY7Lz3tnaR8uDjhQLOi5L507CLjAVBXPIZ2o-c0a0Iqrz0\" target=\"_blank\">The Everyday Projects Grant<\/a> for \u201c22 Days in Between\u201d.<br>His study at DMJX was made possible through two scholarships from the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/theviifoundation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">VII Foundation.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The W.
