Among the nine are DMJX alumni Farhana Satu and Hashem Shakeri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1417\" height=\"1215\" src=\"https:\/\/photo.dmjx.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Video_46.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3159\"\/><figcaption><em>Hashem Shakeri has been selected for Magnum Foundation&#8217;s 2023-2024 Photography Expanded Fellowship focussing on the global heat and climate crisis. Hashem has been selected based on his project &#8220;An Elegy for the Death of Hamun&#8221; that he made as his final project during his study at DMJX in the spring 2018.  Photo from the project by Hashem Shakeri.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.farhanasatu.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Farhana Satu<\/a> from Bangladesh has been selected based on her project Water\/Life. Farhana studied at and graduated Photo 1 in the spring 2020. The project is not made during her DMJX study.<br><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/hashemshakeri\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hashem Shakeri<\/a> from Iran has been selected based on his project <em>An Elegy for the Death of Hamun<\/em>, that was his final project during his study at Photo 1 in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nine photographers have been selected for the fellowship programme that consists of a $10,000 grant for each, two workshops and networking with collaborative partners.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Magnum Foundation has announced the nine\u00a0participants in the 2023-2024 Photography Expanded Fellowship focused on the topic of heat and climate crisis.
