The project is a story about Finns living close to the Finnish-Russian border, and the way the difficult relationship between the two countries has affected their lifes. Through the stories about the inhabitants of the border areas, the project provides a new insight to the division we make between Russia and the Western world.<\/p>\n

An extract of Ella’s full story has been published over six spreads in the magazine Aviisi. Aviisi is the student magazine of the city of Tampere, Finland. It is  distributed in the university and in the city for free. The magazine publishes comprehensive photo reportages in each edition.<\/p>\n
