The three DMJX teachers Mads Greve, Steffen Moestrup and S\u00f8ren Pagter have made an interview book with 14 Nordic photographers who work with documentary portraits.<\/p>\n\n\n

How do you create a portrait that really captures a human being? 14 of Scandinavia’s most renowned photographers answer this question when they talk about their working methods, thoughts and technical approaches. They share their personal approach to everything from preparation and the meeting with the portrayed, to the choice of location, light and possible instruction \u2013 and how they work on the images in the editing phase. Each photographer brings his or her gaze, experience and working methods. It is precisely the differences that are the book’s strength, along with the visual inspirations from the book’s many photos that make you want to experiment yourself with the many possibilities of portraiture.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 14 photographers who share their knowledge and experiences in the book are:
Anders Petersen, Andrea Gjestvang, Andreas Haubjerg, Anna Clar\u00e9n, Joachim Ladefoged, Luca Berti, L\u00e6rke Posselt, Marie Hald, Meli Petersson Ellafi, Petra Kleis, Pieter ten Hoopen, Poul Amundsen, Sigrid Nygaard, Tobias Nicolai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An English version of the book will be launched later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n
