This week, Mads Greve<\/a> conducts the first of a series of four DMJX workshops in Cairo made in co-operation with our partner\u00a0Photopia Cairo<\/a>\u00a0and supported by the\u00a0Embassy of Denmark in Cairo<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the programmne is to educate 12 selected Egyptian photographers in the language of photojournalism. The programme will consist of a series of four workshops and conclude with an exhibition and a publication showing the participants\u2019 final projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participants will receive teaching and work on individual assignments during the workshops. Each participant will do a major project in the period in between the third and fourth workshop. The participants will receive individual coaching while they work on the final major project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the fourth and final workshop, all stories will be published in a mutual magazine. The magazine will be posted online on DMJX Photojournalism\u2019s webpage, and the spreads of the magazine will be exhibited in Cairo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

June\/July \u2013 Photojournalistic Method with S\u00f8ren Pagter
August \u2013 Written Journalism with Gitte Luk
November \u2013 Final Editing and Visual Story Telling with Gitte Luk & S\u00f8ren Pagter
December – Launch of mgazine and exhibition<\/p>\n\n\n\n
