{"id":824,"date":"2015-03-06T08:55:00","date_gmt":"2015-03-06T08:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/photo-dmjx.dk\/index.php\/2015\/03\/06\/seven-students-win-all-the-prizes-in-one-category-at-danish-poy\/"},"modified":"2015-03-06T08:55:00","modified_gmt":"2015-03-06T08:55:00","slug":"seven-students-win-all-the-prizes-in-one-category-at-danish-poy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/photo.dmjx.dk\/index.php\/2015\/03\/06\/seven-students-win-all-the-prizes-in-one-category-at-danish-poy\/","title":{"rendered":"Seven students win all the prizes in one category at Danish POY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This afternoon the winners of the Danish Picture of the Year 2014 were announced at the&nbsp;award cermony at the National Library in Copenhagen.<\/p>\n<p>12 DMJX-students out of a total of 36 nominated photographers were nominated for the Danish POY.<\/p>\n<p>All three prizes in the multimedia category were won by DMJX-students &#8211; even students from the class.<\/p>\n<p>First prize in multimedia was given to Petra Theibel and Mathias Svold for their story <a href=\"http:\/\/webdocs.danishphotojournalism.com\/tillykke-det-blev-en-reborn\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Congratulations, It&#8217;s a Reborn&#8221;.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/webdocs.danishphotojournalism.com\/tillykke-det-blev-en-reborn\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"567\" src=\"http:\/\/photo-dmjx.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/APvinder2014.jpg\" width=\"1009\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Screendump from the prize-winning story &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/webdocs.danishphotojournalism.com\/tillykke-det-blev-en-reborn\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Congratulations, It&#8217;s a Reborn&#8221;<\/a>&nbsp;by&nbsp;Petra Theibel and Mathias Svold. Click to watch.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The two honorable mentions in the same category were given to<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 132\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>&#8211; Anders Rye Skjold Jensen and Katrine Marie Kragh for their story <a href=\"http:\/\/webdocs.danishphotojournalism.com\/egostripperen-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;The Egostripper&#8221;.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8211; P<\/span>hilip Davali, Mie Hee og Ulrik Hasemann for their story <a href=\"http:\/\/webdocs.danishphotojournalism.com\/en-almindelig-familie\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;An Ordinary Family&#8221;.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>All three stories have been made in the fall 2014 during a workshop at DMJX with Bombay Flying Club.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The other DMJX-winners announced today were:<\/p>\n<p>Asger Ladefoged &#8211; Winner in the category &#8220;Foreign Reportage&#8221;. Asger Ladefoged graduated in 2014 and got a job at Scanpix\/Berlingske straight after his graduation. Asger has made his prize winning story about refugees in Calais as his first international assignment as a staff photographer for Scanpix\/Berlingske.<\/p>\n<p>Sofia Busk &#8211;&nbsp;Honorable mention in the &#8220;Open Category&#8221;. Sofia has just returned to 7th semester after doing her internship at Jyllands-Posten, where she made her prize winning story from an institution for alcholics called E-Huset.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Hjorth &#8211; Honorable mention in the category &#8220;Danish Reportage&#8221;. Daniel is currently doing his internship at Politiken, where he made his prize winning story about homeless youngsters in Copenhagen.<\/p>\n<p>Kasper Palsnov &#8211; Honorable mention in the category &#8220;Danish News Picture&#8221;. Kasper has just returned to 7th semester after doing his internship at Scanpix\/Berlingske for whom he took his prize winning picture of the giraffe Marius, which was killed at Copenhagen Zoo.<\/p>\n<p>Janus Engel Rasmussen &#8211; Honorable mention in the &#8220;Portrait&#8221; category.
