This weekend the forth Lumix Festival<\/a> was held in Hannover.<\/p>\n

A lot of former, present and even comming DMJX students were present at the festival as exhibitors, guests and active in arranging the festival.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

38 of the around 50 DMJX-stduents and teachers gathered for a group picture at the Expo Plaza in Hannover. Benedikt had bought the Danish flag, which nobody noitced was the opposite way around – and since we don’t flip pictures it has to stay that way. Five DMJX projects were exhibited at the festival:
<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

– Beautiful Child <\/em>by Lærke Posselt<\/a>.<\/p>\n

– Bonnie<\/em> by Marie Hald.<\/a><\/p>\n

– A Place They Call Home <\/em>by Lasse Bak Mejlvang<\/a>.<\/p>\n

– Detroit<\/em> by Magnus Holm<\/a>.<\/p>\n

– One In Eight Hundred <\/em>by Mario Wezel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

All five exhibiting DMJX-students were present at the festival and during the weekend they all did artist talks at their exhibitions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

DMJX was also represented in the mulitmedia category where Cristina Casotto<\/a> and Lani Holmberg<\/a>‘s story Vibeke and Knud <\/em>was screened.<\/p>\n

Even at the different book stands at the festival DMJX was represented:<\/p>\n

Book projects by Antonia Zennaro<\/a> and Kien Hoang Le<\/a> were both at sale at the book stand of Emerge<\/a>. Both Antonia and Kien started their stories as their final Diploma Projects while studying at DMJX.<\/p>\n

At the book stand of Deichtorhallen, Hamburg the book Blind Date by teacher Mads Greve<\/a> was for sale. Mads Greve did book signing during the Lumix Festival.<\/p>\n

Saturday, the final award show was held. Søren Pagter, who’s had been in the jury, handed out one of the honorable mentions to the Norwegian photographer Andrea Gjestvang<\/a>. Andrea won with her project One Day in History<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Two former DMJX students won prizes at the festival:<\/p>\n

Fara Phoebe Zetzsche<\/a> won the Lammerhuber Award for best Daily Life story with her story Stray Kids<\/em>. <\/p>\n

Mads Nissen<\/a> received an honorable mention for his Homophobia in Russia<\/em> story.<\/p>\n

The winner of the Freelens Award was Meeri Koutaniemi<\/a> with her project Taken<\/em>.<\/p>\n
