{"id":901,"date":"2014-06-23T13:19:00","date_gmt":"2014-06-23T13:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/photo-dmjx.dk\/index.php\/2014\/06\/23\/dmjx-at-the-lumix-festival-2\/"},"modified":"2014-06-23T13:19:00","modified_gmt":"2014-06-23T13:19:00","slug":"dmjx-at-the-lumix-festival-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/photo.dmjx.dk\/index.php\/2014\/06\/23\/dmjx-at-the-lumix-festival-2\/","title":{"rendered":"DMJX at the Lumix Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This weekend the forth <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fotofestival-hannover.de\/aktuell.html?&amp;L=1\" target=\"_blank\">Lumix Festival<\/a> was held in Hannover.<\/p>\n<p>A lot of former, present and even comming DMJX students were present at the festival as exhibitors, guests and active in arranging the festival.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"567\" src=\"http:\/\/photo-dmjx.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/dmjxgroupsmall.jpg\" width=\"662\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>38 of the around 50 DMJX-stduents and teachers gathered for a group picture at the Expo Plaza in Hannover. Benedikt had bought the Danish flag, which nobody noitced was the opposite way around &#8211; and since we don&#8217;t flip pictures it has to stay that way. Picture by <span class=\"_5yl5\"><span class=\"null\"><a href=\"http:\/\/claudiusschulze.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Claudius Schulze<\/a> and his lift.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"_5yl5\"><span class=\"null\">Five DMJX projects were exhibited at the festival:<br \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8211; Beautiful Child <\/em>by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.posseltphotography.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">L&aelig;rke Posselt<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8211; Bonnie<\/em> by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariehald.dk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Marie Hald.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8211; A Place They Call Home <\/em>by <a href=\"http:\/\/bakmejlvang.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lasse Bak Mejlvang<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8211; Detroit<\/em> by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.magnusholm.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Magnus Holm<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8211; One In Eight Hundred <\/em>by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariowezel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mario Wezel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A<span class=\"_5yl5\"><span class=\"null\">ll five exhibiting DMJX-students  were present at the festival and during the weekend they all did  artist talks at their exhibitions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"_5yl5\"><span class=\"null\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"425\" src=\"http:\/\/photo-dmjx.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/LaerkeLumix.jpg\" width=\"789\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>L&aelig;rke Posselt talking at her exhibition at the Lumix Festival. Picture by Mads Greve.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>DMJX was also represented in the mulitmedia category where <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cristinacasotto.it\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cristina Casotto<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/laniholmberg.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lani Holmberg<\/a>&#8216;s story <em>Vibeke and Knud <\/em>was screened.<\/p>\n<p>Even at the different book stands at the festival DMJX was represented:<\/p>\n<p>Book projects by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.antoniazennaro.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Antonia Zennaro<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/hoangle.de\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kien Hoang Le<\/a> were both at sale at the book stand of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emerge-mag.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Emerge<\/a>. Picture by S&oslash;ren Pagter.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>At the book stand of Deichtorhallen, Hamburg the book Blind Date by teacher <a href=\"http:\/\/madsgreve.dk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mads Greve<\/a> was for sale. S&oslash;ren Pagter, who&#8217;s had been in the jury, handed out one of the honorable mentions to the Norwegian photographer <a href=\"http:\/\/andreagjestvang.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Andrea Gjestvang<\/a>. Andrea won with her project <em>One Day in History<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"425\" src=\"http:\/\/photo-dmjx.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/pagterLumix2014.jpg\" width=\"637\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>S&oslash;ren Pagter handing over the honorable mention to Andrea Gjestvang. Picture by the Lumix Festival.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Two former DMJX students won prizes at the festival:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.farazetzsche.de\/\" target=\"_blank\">Fara Phoebe Zetzsche<\/a> won the Lammerhuber Award for best Daily Life story with her story <em>Stray Kids<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.madsnissen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mads Nissen<\/a> received an honorable mention for his <em>Homophobia in Russia<\/em> story.<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the Freelens Award was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meeri.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\">Meeri Koutaniemi<\/a> with her project <em>Taken<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Read more about the Lumix Festival and the winning stories <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fotofestival-hannover.de\/aktuell.html?&amp;L=1\" target=\"_blank\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"_5yl5\"><span class=\"null\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This weekend the forth Lumix Festival was held in Hannover.
