This saturday the jury in the still picture category of the Lumix Festival<\/a> met in Hamburg to select the winners of the Freelens Award for young photojournalism and the Lammerhuber Photography Award.<\/p>\n

This year’s jury consists of<\/p>\n

Ruth Eichhorn from Geo<\/p>\n

Barbara Strauss from Mare<\/p>\n

Christian-Matthias Pohlert from FAZ<\/p>\n

Peter Bitzer from Laif<\/p>\n

Bertram Solcher from Freelens<\/p>\n

Søren Pagter from DMJX<\/p>\n

The six jury members should select the winners among 60 projects, which all will be exhibited at the Lumix Festival in Hannover.<\/p>\n

After hours of tough debate and difficult decisions the jury found this year’s winners to be announced on Saturday the 22nd of June at the Lumix Festival.<\/p>\n

Another jury will choose the winner of the Lumix Multimedia Award among 21 multimedia stories. This winner will also be announced at the festival.<\/p>\n

The 81 projects are chosen among more than 1000 submissions from more than 70 countries.<\/p>\n

Six out of the 81 projects at the Lumix Festival have been made at DMJX by students of photojournalism.<\/p>\n

The six DMJX-projects, which will be exhibited at the Lumix Festival, are:<\/p>\n

– Vibeke and Knud<\/em> by Cristina Casotto and Lani Holmberg.<\/p>\n

– Beautiful Child <\/em>by Lærke Posselt.<\/p>\n

– A Place They Call Home <\/em>by Lasse Bak Mejlvang.<\/p>\n

– Bonnie<\/em> by Marie Hald<\/p>\n

– Detroit<\/em> by Magnus Holm<\/p>\n

– One In Eight Hundred <\/em>by Mario Wezel<\/p>\n
