DMJX Photojournalism is a news site and showcase from the Department of Photojournalism at the Danish School of Media and Journalism, Aarhus, Denmark.
The Danish BA program in photojournalism started back in 1992 and in 2004, our first international class started at DMJX. We run both a Danish BA programme (3,5 years study) and two international courses (half a year each). The international courses are Photo I: The Language of Photojournalismand Photo II: Advanced Visual Story Telling.
We educate 12 Danish photojournalists every year and accept 8-10 students for each of our two international programs.
All our photojournalism courses are highly renowned around the world and a lot of our students are prize winning photojournalists.
This website is maintained by the faculty teachers, Søren Pagter and Mads Greve.
DMJX Photojournalism only displays work made by current and former students of photojournalism during their study at one of our programs.
DMJX photojournalism statement of principles
All stories are made within the field of documentary photography. This means that no pictures have been digitally altered, no items have been added or removed in the pictures. The peoples and their stories are real. The reportage pictures have been photographed as the photographers experienced the situations and no candid moments have been staged or in any other way constructed.
