Symposium and exhibition with focus on Indian photography

Saturday, August 24, Søren Pagter, head of DMJX photojournalism, was one of the lecturers at a symposium at ARoS – Aarhus Arts Museum focussing on contemporary Indian photography. The symposium was organized by DMJX-alumnus Arko Datto, who is also the curator of the current exhibition Manifold at Galleri Image in Aarhus.

As one part of his lecture, Søren Pagter used examples from a DMJX exhibition at Delhi Photo Festival to exemplify how students from across the World meet and inspire each other through DMJX. Among the other speakers at the symposium were Debora Moritz, assistant curator of photography at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and Anshika Varma, Photographer, curator, artist, and founder of Offset Projects.
