Interview with Mohammad Jaafer in Global Nyt

In connection with his current exhibition Turmoil of Midst at Fotografisk Center, Mohammad Jaafer has been interviewed for the Danish magazine Global Nyt (Global News).

In the online interview, Mohammad Jaafer talks about his personal journey coming from Sudan to study at DMJX in Denmark and now seeking asylum in The Netherlands. He explains how he is using photography to depict the consequences of war, especially in close relationships. The interview is in Danish
Mohammad Jaafer studied as a scholarship student at DMJX in 2023 and 2024 supported by the ECCA Family Foundation. Shortly after Mohammad Jaafer’s arrival in Denmark, the civil war broke out in his home country, Sudan, and he is therefore separated from his family back home.
