New series of DMJX-workshops in Cairo

In co-operation with Photopia School of Photography and with the support of the Danish Embassy in Cairo, DMJX photojournalism will run an educational programme in Cairo throughout 2026.

Outline of the programme
The programme aims to educate 10–12 Egyptian photographers in the language and practice of photojournalism. It consists of four workshops, organized in cooperation with Photopia Cairo throughout 2026.

Participants will receive structured teaching and work on individual assignments during each workshop. Between the third and fourth workshops, each participant will develop a major final project, supported by individual coaching.

After the fourth and final workshop, all completed stories will be published in a joint magazine, which will be available online on DMJX Photojournalism’s website. Selected spreads from the magazine will also be exhibited in Cairo.

Participants who complete all workshops and submit all assignments will receive an official transcript from DMJX.

All emerging and mid-career Egyptian photographers can apply through this link
