We are happy to announce that Deepti Asthana from India receive The Alexandra Boulat Grant and Mushfiq Mahbub Turjo from Bangladesh receive The Shahidul Alam Grant to study at our Photo I program in the spring 2019.
Thank you to all the 25 highly qualified photographers from 10 different countries, who applied for the two scholarships funded by the VII Foundation. It was a difficult job to choose, who were the most qualified to receive the two grants.
The Alexandra Boulat Grant is given in remembrance of the late, prize winning French photographer, who was a member and co-founder of VII Photo Agency.
The Shahidul Alam Grant is given in honour of the great importance Shahidul Alam has for the development of independent photojournalism in the World.
Both grants include accommodation, tuition fee and some pocket money.
