Andreas Haubjerg has won first prize at PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris

Andreas Haubjerg has won gold in portraiture/personality category at PX3 Prix de la Photograhie Paris with his project “A Real Man”.

Kenneth, 38 years old.
“It’s stressful and difficult to be a part of my daughter’s life right now”.
Kenneth’s former girlfriend and the mother to their daughter seldom allows him to see his daughter. The girlfriend accuses him of being mentally ill and violent, which has been rejected by the court.

Andreas made “A Real Man” as his final BA-project in the fall 2020. “A Real Man” is a series of portraits and stories about men, who have been exposed to physical domestic violence.

Lasse, 69 years old.
“We have been married in 35 years – it’s half a life”.
After some turbulent years, Lasse’s wife leaves him and he’s without a place to live and their mutual depth is in his name.

Andreas also received the Ritzau/Sacnpix Prize for best photojournalistic BA-project at the graduation ceremony in January 2021. The exhibition “A Real Man” is on tour around Denmark and is currently exhibited in Randers.

“A Real Man” on display in Randers. The project has previously been exhibited in Copenhagen, Holstebro and Esbjerg – and will be shown in Slagelse, Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg and Guldborgsund.
