Very present third term story from The Faroe Islands published in the magazine Femina

Esther Kofoed Sørensen and Hannah Aurora Almstrup made, during their third term documentary workshop, a story about the lack of rights for women to have free abortion on The Faroe Islands. With the current debate on abortion rights in the US, the story is more present than ever and is right now published in the Danish magazine Femina.

Esther Kofoed Sørensen and Hannah Aurora Almstrup went to The Faroe Islands in the fall 2021 during a third term documentary workshop. In the project the two photographers have interviewed and portrayed a series of women with the purpose of telling about the abortion policy on the islands.

The trip and project was supported by a grant created in the memory of the late Aarhus photographer, Axel Schütt.
