Mathias Eis and Frederik Danielsen are among the five young talents selected from 90 applications for FUTURES Nordic Talents 2024 . With the selection comes an exhibition at the Copenhagen Photo Festival 2024.

Fire Trees on Als revolves around the myths of the Danish island Als, where Frederik Danielsen grew up. Frederik manages to evoke the viewer’s curiosity for these local places and stories by applying a photographic approach that combines documentary photography and conceptual art, using both his own photographic as well as found material from local archives. Are we nearly there, yet by Mathias Eis
In the project Are we nearly there, yet, Mathias Eis explores life at the 148 rest stops along the Danish highways. The Copenhagen Photo Festival runs every year in the beginning of June. The 2024 festival runs from June 6 to June 16. The festival center is at Refshaleøen, Copenhagen, where you will find exhibitions, networking activities, talks, parties and events.
