Debate about portraying a human being

Louisiana Museum of Modern Art hosted on March 17 a live debate with photojournalist Sigrid Nygaard and author Klaus Rothstein on how to portray a human being. The event was arranged on the occasion of the release of the two books At Mærke Et Menneske by Mads Greve, Steffen Moestrup & Søren Pagter and Når Et Menneske Dør by Klaus Rothstein.

The Louisiana Live debate held the same title as the interview book by Mads Greve, Steffen Moestrup & Søren Pagter; To Sense Another Human Being and at the debate, Sigrid Nygaard and Klaus Rothstein discussed and answered questions like ”how do you portray another human being?” and “how to approach the person’s core?”.
Both the photographer and the writer, the image and the literature face the same challenges. How do you sort in a life? How to approach something that is essential and permanent as opposed to all the noisy and inconsequential.
Almost a hundred guests listened to the more than one hour long debate moderated by Marc-Christoph Wagner.
