Ahmed Hayman, international student from Egypt, wins gold in the category Domestic Picture Story with a series about the revolution in Egypt. The revolution started two days after Ahmeds arrival in Denmark in January 2011. After a couple of days at our school Ahmed went back to Cairo to cover the historical events in his country. Ahmed returned to DSMJ and is currently studying at the international course Advanced Visual Story Telling.
Sonja Och, international student from Germany, wins silver in the category International Picture Story with a series about a Danish female stripper, house wife and mother. The story was made while Sonja was studying at DSMJ in the spring 2011.
Nikolai Linares, Danish student at 8th semester, wins award of excellence in the category International Picture Story with a series about the young workers building the new Cairo in Egypt.
