Our Danish second term students went to the Danish Island Orø for one week during their magazine workshop and we’re proud to launch their magazine called Den bedre halvdel/The Better Half.
The students behind the magazine are: Tine Sletting Jakobsen, Lars Just, Torkil Adsersen, Jesper Mortensen, Marcus Trappaud Bjørn and Ditte Lysgaard Holm.
The three week magazine workshop was conducted by photojournalist Mathilde Bech. During the first week the students worked with research and planning of their stories with Mathilde Bech and journalist Hanne Mølby Henriksen. The students were also tought magazine layout in theory and praxis by Susse Sommer and Henrik Meller.
The second week the students went to Orø to do their stories.
And in the third week the students were back at school to finish their stories and create their magazine under supervision by the different teachers.
Now, they are ready to launch their magazine focussing on women living on the small island in Isefjorden near Holbæk.
The magazine is available online and will also be exhibited in the aula at DSMJ. Reception tomorrow, Friday the 13th of May at 12.30.
