“The more your work is connected to you, the more unique it is”, said Magnum photographer Jacob Aue Sobol at a three hours inspiring lecture today in the auditorium at DSMJ. The lecture was our official welcome-the-autumn-semester for all the students – a chance to meet eachother across classes.
Jacob Aue Sobol took us to Greenland and gave us the complete background of his work Sabine. And from here we went to Guatemala, Tokyo, Bangkok and ended up with seeing his newest work-in-progress from Copenhagen.
