Emilie Toldam selected for UNICEF Photo of the Year

Emilie Toldam has won an Award of Excellence at 2025 UNICEF Photo of the Year and her awarded project Miss Vogue will be exhibited together with the other winners at Willy Brandt’s House in Berlin from today till April 26, 2026.

Nine-year-old Vogue Boyd from Cumbria in the north of England is competing in beauty pageants. This weekend Vogue is going to the International Junior Miss UK pageant, so before taking off she and her mom go toa local beautician to get Vogue ready for the competition. Vogue has been practicing her catwalks in high heels every night for three months leading up to the pageant. The family has also hired two coaches to train Vogue in her walking and interview skills. Emilie Toldam made Miss Vogue during her internship at Jyllands-Posten in the spring 2024. She graduated in January 2025, where she received the Ritzau Scanpix Prize for best photojournalistic BA-project. Emilie is working as freelance photographer based in Aarhus.
