Three 7th semester projects won three of the main reportage categories today at the award ceremony for the Danish POY.

Sofie Amalie Klougart won first prize in the Open Category with her story about swinger clubs in Denmark. This story is also made as a part of her World Press Master Class.

Lærke Posselt won first prize in the category Foreign Reportage with her story about beauty pageants in US. This story also won at CPOY in the autumn and has been published in several international magazines around the world.

Marie Hald won first prize in the category Danish Reportage with her story about Bonnie who’s a prostitute and a mother. Marie Hald also won second prize in the portrait category at World Press Photo with a portrait of Bonnie.
Two students also won second prizes:
Mortren Germund won second prize in the category Danish singles with a picture of his grand father, who’s living alone after the death of his wife for many years. The picture and the rest of the story about his grand father is a part Morten Germund’s visual project made during his 8th semester.
Asger Ladefoged won second prize in the category Interactive Multimedie for the project 1 of out 5 millions – a project made during his internship together with his colleagues at Berlingske.
Finally, at the end of the ceremony – Marie Hald won the most prestigiuos prize of them all: Picture of the Year 2012. Read a seperate news about this.
