Three projects by international students win at WPO

This week, the World Photography Organisation (WPO) launched the shortlist of winners of the Sony Photography Awards 2013.

Three international students are nominated in the professional categories:

Mario Wezel, Germany, is a finalist in the People category with his story One in Eight Hundred. Mario made the story as his final diploma project in the spring 2013.

Arko Datto, India, is shortlistet in the People category with his project Cybersex – a project he made as his final photo story in the spring 2013.

Picture by Moritz Kuestner

Moritz Kuestner is shortlistet in the category Contemporary Issues with his story Rita – HIV in Estonia. The story is not yet on the WPO website, but can be seen at Moritz’ own website by clicking the link above. Moritz made the story as his final photo story in the autumn 2012.

The winners will announced at the award ceremony on 30th of April in London.

All projects will be exhibited at the Somerset House in London from the 1st til the 18th of May.
