Søren Pagter in the jury of the Lumix Festival

This saturday the jury in the still picture category of the Lumix Festival met in Hamburg to select the winners of the Freelens Award for young photojournalism and the Lammerhuber Photography Award.

This year’s jury consists of

The six jury members should select the winners among 60 projects, which all will be exhibited at the Lumix Festival in Hannover.

After hours of tough debate and difficult decisions the jury found this year’s winners to be announced on Saturday the 22nd of June at the Lumix Festival.

Another jury will choose the winner of the Lumix Multimedia Award among 21 multimedia stories. This winner will also be announced at the festival.

The 81 projects are chosen among more than 1000 submissions from more than 70 countries.

Six out of the 81 projects at the Lumix Festival have been made at DMJX by students of photojournalism.

The six DMJX-projects, which will be exhibited at the Lumix Festival, are:

– Vibeke and Knud by Cristina Casotto and Lani Holmberg.

– Beautiful Child by Lærke Posselt.

– A Place They Call Home by Lasse Bak Mejlvang.

– Bonnie by Marie Hald

– Detroit by Magnus Holm

– One In Eight Hundred by Mario Wezel
