The sixth Copenhagen Photo Festival opens tomorrow with an amazing selection of exhibitions, talks and events.
The DMJX Photojournalism Education will not be officially present with ONE exhibition of students’ work. Nevertheless, DMJX Photojournalism will be at the festival in many other ways:

– On the 5th of June at 5pm Mathias Christensen will exhibit his project “Black Nest” at Øen, Mimersgade, Copenhagen. Mathias Christensen made the “Black Nest” project during his internship at Politiken and during his 7th semester at DMJX. Dennis Lehmann made his pictures as his final BA project in 2014 and with this story he won the Scanpix Award for best photojournalistic BA project.
The exhibition “Inuit Now” has already toured around Greenland for the past six months. The two photographers have set up a Kickstarter in order to collect money for thier debut photobook. They’ve already managed to collect enough money for printing the book, but it’s still possible to pre-order the book and support the project. Saturday the 13th of June you can meet the two photographer for an artists’ talk at the exhibition place.
– On Sunday the 7th of June between 3pm and 5pm at Photo Stage, photojournalism student Daniel Hjort will participate in a debate about documentary versus fine art photography.
– On Saturday the 13th of June between 4pm and 6pm at Photo Stage, Søren Pagter will be the moderator of a debate on sincere photography. The photographers Mads Nissen, Linda Hansen, Maria Fonfara and Søren Rønholt will debate the topic.
Finally some DMJX students are represented at the curated exhibition “Picture the Music”, which will tour around Denmark.
