This Friday the photo exhibition “Det Levende Aarhus” opened in Musikhuset, Aarhus.

The exhibition focusses on man, nature and animal life in the city and it’s the first step to a much bigger outdoor event with 100 pictures, which will be shown in 2017 as a part of Aarhus as the European Cultural City of this year.
This first small exhibition can be seen first in Musikhuset, then it’ll be shown in Bruun’s Galleri and finally in Dokk1 in Aarhus.
The whole project is organized by the Natural History Museum in Aarhus and Life Exhibitions.

DMJX’s photojournalists are small part of the project since we every semester give assignments with the overall topics “man and nature in Aarhus” and “wild life in Aarhus” to two groups of students.
We submit the pictures to the project on behalf of the students and those students, who get their pictures selected will have them exhibited and get paid for the use of their work.
Other DMJX students are also welcome to submit work by sending it to Søren Pagter.
Three second term DMJX-students, Nanna Navntoft, Benjamin Pim Varigi Nørskov and Magnus Fisker-Andersen, have had their pictures selected for this first exhibition.
