CPOY: two DMJX winners in Portrait Category

Today is the first day of the judging of the 70th College Photographer of the Year (CPOY) and two DMJX-students has already been selected among the winners:

Kenth Ebbeson portrayed by Brittany Greeson.

Brittany Greeson has won silver in the Portrait category for her portrait of Kenth Ebbeson, who’s mentally handicapped and lives at the institution Sølund. Brittany did the story about Kenth as her final photo story during the Photo1 programme in the fall 2014.

Jacob Glarbjerg Larsen portrayed by Lasse Kofod.

Lasse Kofod has won Award of Excellence also in the Portrait Category for a portrait of the Danish basketball player Jacob Glarbjerg Larsen. The portrait was made during Lasse’s internship at Politiken.

The CPOY judging takes places at the Missouri School of Journalism on the University of Missouri campus in Columbia. The work of the jury can be followed on CPOY’s blog – just like the final rounds of judging can be seen on screencasts.
