Head of the photojournalism department, Søren Pagter, turns 50 today. Pagter has been teaching at DMJX since 1998 and since 1999 he has been the head of the department with responsibility for both the Danish BA programme and the two international photojournalism programmes.
In different interviews for various newspapers Pagter talks about himself and his career.
In the local newspaper Amtsavisen from Pagter’s hometown Randers, where he even made the cover, he talks about staying curious and the importance of photojournalism today. Just like Pagter tells about his passion for the local community and being active in your own community.
The pieces in for instance Jyllands-Posten and Politiken focus more on Pagter’s career being the head of an internationally renowned education, doing external workshops all over the world and working in juries.
