Tanzim Wahab
We’re happy to announce that Tanzim Wahab from our partner school, Pathshala in Bangladesh, will do the opening speech at Life Exposed.
Tanzim Wahab is a Bangladeshi writer, curator and photographer, who works within photographic education with a focus on South-Asian context.
Tanzim is the chief curator of Bengal Foundation, Visual Arts Program and Director of International Program of Pathshala South Asia Media Institute. He was the Vice Principal of Pathshala South Asian Media Institute from 2013 to 2015.
Jointly with his co-editor Munem Wasif, he published two editions of Kamra – a comprehensive Bangla book of photography on setting ideas and debates in photographic history & theories.
With an interest on photographic history, Tanzim taught numerous workshops and reviewed portfolio at Chittagong, Delhi, Kathmandu and Siem Reap etc. He was a curator of Chobi Mela Photography Festival, Dhaka in 2013, 2015 & 2017, Kathmandu Triennale 2017 and Photography Oxford Festival, Oxford in 2014.
Friday the 2nd of June at 4 pm we’re opening the Life Exposed exhibition at Gasværksgrunden, Sionsgade 5 in Copenhagen and by that celebrating the 25 years anniversary of DMJX photojournalism.
