DMJX at the Lumix Festival

The sixth Lumix Festival starts today in Hannover and DMJX students and teachers are participating in the festival in various ways.

at the Lumix Festival.

Two out of the 16 multimedia stories, which has been selected for screening at the festvial, are made at DMJX. That is:

“Take me as I am” by Capucine Chandon and Nick Pfosi – made during Photo 1 in the spring 2017.

“That Which Still Stands” by Anders Rye Skjoldjensen and Rune Aarestrup Pedersen – made as a part of the two students’ final BA project in the fall 2017.

The story is among the 60 selected still picture stories,
which are exhibited at the Lumix Festival.

Two out of the 60 still picture stories, which will be exhibited at the festival, are made by DMJX students. That is:

“Coastland” by Ulrik Hasemann – his final BA project made together with Mathias Svold in the spring 2017. Ulrik Hasemann graduated from DMJX in June 2017.

“Iran – Multi Piece Identity” by International student Hashem Shakeri, who graduated Photo I this June.

The contrainer exhibition “No Longer, Not Yet” will be exhibited at the Container Village at the Lumix Festival. The exhibiton was also shown at the Photo Triennale in Hamburg, where this picture is from. Photo: Jan Staiger.

The exhibition “No Longer, Not Yet” made by 19 students from the three schools, HS Hannover, University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the Magnum/SPEOS School of Photography and DMJX will be a part of the container village at the festival.

“No Longer, Not Yet” is the result of a co-operation between the three schools, where selected students from Germany, France and Denmark have worked on the topic “Youth in Europe”.

Both Mads Greve and Søren Pagter will be a part of the port folio program at the festival – and being a part of the jury, Søren Pagter will motivate and hand over one of the prizes at the award ceremony Saturday evening.
