Ida Guldbæk Arentsen wins the Ritzau Scanpix Prize

At the graduation ceremony today Ida Guldbæk Arentsen received the Ritzau Scanpix Prize for best Danish Photojournalistic BA-project.

Ida Guldbæk Arentsen won with the story “The Women in the White Dresses” – a story about Ethiopian women, who are stigmatized due to the birth disease Fistula.

In the motivation for the prize, picture editor Kristian Djurhuus wrote: “The photographer tells a story from a remote part of the world with such great intimacy that the story becomes present for the reader”.

This Monday, Ida will take over our Instagram and show the pictures from her prize winning story.
