Amira Mortada opens the exhibition “Expired” at Andromeda in Aarhus tomorrow at 3pm.

“Expired” is a series of portraits of Egyptian women, who remain unmarried after the age of 30. It’s a story about virgin girls in the Arab country, where a Muslim woman is not allowed to engage in a love relationship. The women’s stories carry a personal experience along with 10 million other women in Egypt whose age is above 30.

Amira is currently studying at our Photo II programme.
