Kobborg og Kastenskov at World Photography Awards in London

Tobias Kobborg and teacher Henrik Kastenskov were in London for the Sony World Photography award ceremony last week.

Tobias Kobborg and teacher Henrik Kastenskov were invited to the World Photography Award ceremony last week due to Tobias’ nomination for the Student Competition. They spent three days in London.

On the first day, Tobias and Henrik visited Tate Britain , where they saw the retrospective exhibition of the legendary British photographer Don McCullin.

On the second day, Tobias and Henrik participated in port folio review together with the other nine nominated students and the teachers from their schools. The also had a lecture and Q and A with photographer Nadav Kander.

In the evening the award show was held, where one of the ten nominated students won the main award of 30,000 EUR worth Sony equipment for the school. Unfortunately, Tobias’ story S + R about didn’t win this prize. The winner was Sergi Villanueva from Universidad Jaume I in Spain.

Tobias Kobborg’s story S + R is exhibited at the Somerset House in London till the 6th of May.

On the final day, Tobias and Henrik particpated in the official opening of the World Photography exhibition, where Tobias’ winning images were exhibited.
