At the lecture, Ulrik explained how he and Mathias Svold almost by accident began to work together during their 7th term at DMJX. Here, they were expected to work in groups and this was the beginning of the three projects, which the two photographers have made together untill now.

Ulrik Hasemann and Mathias Svold made their final BA-project “Kystland” together in 2017. After their graduation the two photographers continued to photograph the live along the Danish coastline and in May 2019, they released a book with a selection of the pictures and stories.

“Kystland” has been a huge succes. It was screened at Visa pour l’Image last year, at Copenhagen Photo Festival this year and right now the exhibition is shown at PixlArt Gallery, who has also screened the pictures along the Danish coast this summer.

The stories have been published in various newspapers and magazines, for instance in Politiken, Euroman and latest in the recent edition of Ud og Se.
