This Friday, we held the second round of the admission test for our Danish BA in photojournalism at the new campus in Aarhus.

The applicants arrive at the new DMJX campus after a three hour photo assignment.

The second round of the admission test consists of a three hour photo assignment where the applicants are given a specific topic for which they must produce a four picture story.

After the photo assignment the applicants have time to select and work on their pictures just like they’re given a short writing assignment.

At the end of the day, all applicants have an individual interview.

In safe distance, the applicants work on selecting and editing the pictures they want to submit for their application.

The admission test is divided into two rounds. First, we ask all applicants to submit one series of images within a given topic and to do two tests – one in correct writing and one in common knowledge.

Based on the series of images and the two tests, we select the applicants, who will come to the school for the second round.

This year, 80 people submitted work for the first round and we selected 38 applicants for the second round. At the end, we will select 12 students for our Danish BA programme.
