Three recently graduated DMJX students are exhibiting their school projects two places in Denmark this August.
Maria Albrectsen Mortensen and Mads Frost are part of the group exhibition “Selv Glad”, that is opening on the 5th of August in Klitmøller, Denmark.
Mads Frost is exhibiting a portrait of Brynhildr. The portrait is part of Mads Frost’s final BA-project “Queer Mental Health”, where he through portraits and interviews focusses on the mental health among LGBTQ+ people.
Maria Albrectsen Mortensen is exhibiting a selvportrait from her Visual Project made during her final semester. In her Visual Project, Maria lived as her late grandfather for a month. Among other things, he was a boxer, so she trained boxing and portrayed herself a boxer.
The group exhibition is curated by another former DMJX student Angelina Owino and is part of four days of cultural activities on the beach Bunkerz in Klitmøller. The cultural events are organized by Thyrailer Trash Gang and Angelina Owino.
Andreas Haubjerg’s final BA-project “A Real Man” continues to tour around Denmark and now it’s in Randers, where you can see the exhibition at Østervold in the center of town. Read more here.
Friday the 20th of August at 2pm, Andreas will be at the exhibition for a talk and an opening reception.
