DMJX students exhibit two places this August

Three recently graduated DMJX students are exhibiting their school projects two places in Denmark this August.

Mads Frost’s portrait of Brynhildr is on the poster of the group exhibition “Selv Glad.
The exhibition is open from the 5th til the 8th of August in Klitmøller, Denmark.

Maria Albrectsen Mortensen and Mads Frost are part of the group exhibition “Selv Glad”, that is opening on the 5th of August in Klitmøller, Denmark.

Mads Frost is exhibiting a portrait of Brynhildr. The portrait is part of Mads Frost’s final BA-project “Queer Mental Health”, where he through portraits and interviews focusses on the mental health among LGBTQ+ people.

Maria Albrectsen Mortensen is exhibiting a selvportrait from her Visual Project made during her final semester. In her Visual Project, Maria lived as her late grandfather for a month. Among other things, he was a boxer, so she trained boxing and portrayed herself a boxer.

Maria Albrectsen Mortensen’s series of selfportraits are exhibited in Klitmøller the next four days.

The group exhibition is curated by another former DMJX student Angelina Owino and is part of four days of cultural activities on the beach Bunkerz in Klitmøller. The cultural events are organized by Thyrailer Trash Gang and Angelina Owino.

Andreas Haubjerg’s final BA-project “A Real Man” continues to tour around Denmark and now it’s in Randers, where you can see the exhibition at Østervold in the center of town. Read more here.

Friday the 20th of August at 2pm, Andreas will be at the exhibition for a talk and an opening reception.
