Shirin Abedi has won the Felix Schöller Newcomer Award for her project “May I Have This Dance?” Her project is exhibited till 6th of march 2022 in the Museum for Cultural History in The Museumsquartier Osnabrück.
Shirin Abedi started the story as her final Photo Story during her Photo 1 study at DMJX in the spring 2019. She continued to work on the story throughout 2019.
The story has been exhibited several times and Shirin has received numerous acknowledgements for this work, for instance the F3 – freiraum für fotografie Award, the BFF grant and Deutscher Jugendfotopreis 2020
