11 DMJX students and 2021-graduates nominated for the Danish POY

11 out of the 24 photographers nominated for the Danish Picture of the Year 2021 are DMJX students or 2021-graduates from DMJX.

The two jury’s met over two days to judge the 12 still picture categories and the three video categories of the Danish Picture of the Year 2021.

The DMJX nominees are:

Anders Holst Pedersen – second and third term in 2021

Christian Falck Wolff – second and third term in 2021

Jens Hartmann Schmidt – BA-project and -graduate in spring 2021

Jesper Houborg – internship at Politiken in spring 2021 and 7th term in the fall same year

Kim Frost – second and third term in 2021

Magnus Hove Johansson – fourth term in spring 2021 and currently interning at Information

Maria Albrectsen Mortensen – BA assignment and graduate in spring 2021

Marius Renner Christensen – internship at Politiken in spring 2021 and 7th term in the fall same year

Mikkel Hørlyck – BA-project and -graduate in spring 2021

Oscar Scott Carl – BA-project and -graduate in spring 2021

Rune Øe Nielsen – second and third term in 2021

The full list of nominees was announced Saturday the 8th of January and the winners will be revealed at the award ceremony at The Royal Library in Copenhagen on the 4th of March 2022.

144 photographers had submitted 2.162 pictures and 36 video productions for this year’s competition.
