BA-project becomes the photo book Vokseværk

Saturday the 26th of November, Mads Joakim Rimer Rasmussen launched the book “Vokseværk” (growth) at a reception af Fotografisk Center in Copenhagen. Mads Joakim started the project for his final BA in 2019 and continued to work on the story after his graduation.

“Vokseværk” is published by Disko Bay and tells about friendship and teenage heyday at the Danish “Efterskole” Fjordvang, that Mads Joakim himself attended in his youth.

“Efterskole” (literally after-school), is a unique type of optional independent residential school for young people between the ages of fourteen and eighteen. Every year over thirty thousand teens apply for the 241 Danish “efterskoler” and it’s now more popular than ever.
