Simon Gerlinger‘s photographic essay “About Love” has been published in three different German magazines and soon Simon will launch a book with the project that he started as his final Diploma Project at DMJX in the fall 2021.

In his project statement, Simon writes: “In intimate portraits of couples, I explores the question: What is it like for other people my age to be in a relationship? In constant reference to my theme of partnership, I show my protagonists in private moments. In addition to the portraits and momentary glimpses of the couples, written conversations provide insights into the aspects of the individual relationships that cannot be visualized”.
