Shrin Abedi’s story May I Have This Dance? at Gallerie für Fotografie GAF in Hannover. Shirin started the story during her Photo 1 study at DMJX in the spring 2019. After her graduation from DMJX, she has continued to work on the project that is about the social change in Iran on the basis of a subculture in which dance is elementary to life. The dancers show a peaceful resistance to a patriarchal and fundamental society. By this, they represent a whole generation, who reclaims their desired future. Photo: Amelie Sachs.

Shirin Abedi’s story is part of the group exhibition WUT MACHT LUST (Rage Power Lust) that opened July 17 and is on show till August 18 in Galerie für Fotografie GAF, Hannover.
