This week 12 young, talented photographers from North West Russia are participating in a master class workshop conducted by Mads Nissen, photojournalist at Berlingske and Søren Pagter, head of the department of photojournalism at DMJX.
The purpose of the workshop is to further develop the visual and storytelling skills of the participants by giving them the chance to work on a longer project while they receive coaching.

The first week of the master class consists of lectures and talks at DMJX in Aarhus. After this first workshop the 12 Russian photographers will work for two months on their individual stories while they recieve coaching from Mads Nissen.

In June the group will meet again in St. Petersburg to edit the stories and the outcome of the workshop will be a book and an exhibition showing the picture stories made by the participants during the master class.
