Sakari Piippo, international student from Finland, who studied at DMJX this spring, has won Young Press Photographer of the Year in Finland.
The prize is given by the The Finnish Press Photographers’ Association and the association said in their motivation for the prize: “Piippo has a ability to think, to photograph, and to think again. He has the ability to set himself interesting questions about the world, and to respond to them in the end with beautiful, thoughtful and independently carried out series of images.”
