Yesterday evening the names of the photographers nominated for the Danish Press Photo of the Year 2010 was published on the website of Pressefotografforbundet (The Danish Press Photographers Association).
Among the 23 names are six current students or students who graduated in 2010.
The nomianted students are:
– Mette Frandsen, who graduated in the autumn 2010
– Sara Brincher Galbiati, who graduated in the summer 2010
– Peter Helles Eriksen, who’s currently at his eight’ semester
– Sofie Amalie Klougart, who’s currently doing internship at Information
– Jeppe Bøje Nielsen, who’s currently doing internship at Berlingske Media
– Asbjørn Skovkjær Sand, who’s currently doing internship at Fyens Stiftstidende
For the first time a former international student is nominated in the Danish competition: Roberto Boccaccino from Italy, who graduated his diploma project at DSMJ in the winther 2009 and who have been working freelance in Copenhagen.
Among the other nominated photographers are a lot of the guest lecturers (and former students) that work here at DSMJ – For instance Henrik Kastenskov and Poul Madsen from Bombay Flying Club, who are doing a workshop at the school right now.
