During a second term assignment in the spring 2020, Rikke Mathiasen made the personal project “Spine” about how the disease scoliosis impacts her life. A picture editor at Washington Post saw the project on DMJX Photojournalism’s Instagram and now Rikke’s story has been published on the newspaper’s Insight blog.
