DMJX students Heba Khamis (Egypt) and Rebecka Uhlin (Sweden) are among the 12 young photographers, who are selected for this year’s Joop Swart Masterclass organized by World Press Photo.
Heba Khamis’ selected port folio consisted of her story “Banned Beauty”,
which will also be a part of our 25 years’ anniversary exhibition in June.
187 photographers from 68 countries were nominated for the master class – and out of these 187 were nine DMJX students, as we have wrote in an earlier post. A jury of seven people from the business selected the 12 to participate in the prestigious workshop.
Another DMJX student, Marie Hald (Denmark) is among the two runner-ups for the master class. The runner-ups will join the workshop if any of the other photographers can not participate – and the runner ups will automatically be nominated for next year’s master class.
